Kevin Mayhew Publishers in partnership with GingerDog Records are greatly looking forward to welcoming Garth Hewitt and his band this Friday for his first live concert in 18 months at St Peter's Church, Ipswich.
Garth is an English Christian singer‑songwriter and Anglican priest, active since the early 1970s. His commitment to social justice pervades his music and led him to found the human rights charity Amos Trust in 1985. He continues to raise awareness of social justice issues by recording and releasing albums, and also through writing books and articles. He has lead a very colourful life and for 25 years Garth was one of the Directors of the Greenbelt Festival. He played at the first festival and was then a key member of the board that shaped its thinking and direction. It was particularly through Garth’s influence that it became an Arts Festival with a commitment to social justice.
