Colin Mawby (b. 1936) has always been fascinated by choral sonority and uses it to great effect in his writing. On this new CD released to celebrate his 70th birthday, the Chapel Choir of Selwyn College, Cambridge, performs a selection of music that gives an overview of his work and style. It consists of music composed between 1978 and 2004 and is representative of his fine choral writing.
