Wonderful, knowledgeable and deeply compassionate

Marcus Green is an evangelical, Anglican priest who has recently written this excellent book exploring the Church's attitude to homosexuality and its why's and wherefore's. It builds not only upon his own personal experience as a *** man, but also upon his personal journey in Christian faith and practice to provide a deep, thoughtful and above all compassionate exegetical exploration of relevant Scripture from both the Old and New Testaments. My growth group have been studying this book for a while now - and have been hugely appreciative of its instructive insights. Although not all of our number are *** (e.g. I am not, but I do have *** relatives and friends - and I am very aware of the pain that this issue has caused and continues to cause), we have all been generally struck by the generous, considered perspective that Marcus presents throughout, as well as by how well written this is. Perhaps most surprising of all, the last chapter is very different in character from the ones preceding it. It is, quite simply, sublime in its writing, and is powerfully, immensely moving. I don't mind saying that I sobbed - at least twice! This book is, quite simply, a gift. Thank you, Marcus, for your insight, your compassion and your wonderful, flowing prose!
