Edited by: Marian Hellen and George Reynolds Hummel's trumpet concerto was written in 1803 for the Viennese trumpet virtuoso Anton Weidinger (1767-1852) who had developed a fully chromatic keyed trumpet.
The concerto was originally written in the Key of E but is nowadays more often played in Eb , so it can be comfortably performed on both Bb and Eb trumpets. This edition in Eb has parts for Bb and Eb trumpets.
