Looking for a new way of doing daily Bible reading

I was looking for a more structured way of doing my daily Bible study and this book is providing that. I have only done a couple of weeks so far, but already I am enjoying the challenge of looking at a Psalm and an Old and New Testament reading for each day and then drawing them together with a thought provoking commentary. And the final prayer is always a good challenge too. A really good buy!

Stimulating resource for a scripture-based journal.

Only 10 days in but I am enjoying this e version. It is handy on my tablet over pre-breakfast tea, whereas I would never open my laptop so early. After reading the set texts and Simpson's comments, dwelling on one or more for a while, I type a few comments of my own into a MS OneNote Book I've created. (It's an app in Windows.) That comprises typically a reflection, an application of the text, a prayer of thanks or intercession. Thus this CDP ebook and Notebook work together conveniently to reinforce the message for me each day. It puts some discipline into the disciple. Sometimes I return in the evening to review a portion and add another insight - to today's or a previous page. Altogether my product seems more weighty than just reading, or scribbling in a jotter that's likely to be scrapped; and it sticks better in my mind / spirit. I enjoy the novelty of the Celtic stories, refreshingly different from other denominational streams; it touches my Ulster and Scots heritage emotionally. Overall, the print version content is very stimulating, and the e-book version adds convenient versatility for a flexible study journal. At 5.5p/day it's a good investment. Reaches the parts Zoom liturgy misses.
